Professional Memberships and Registrations

  • Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • British Dietetic Association (BDA)
  • Freelance Dietitians Group (FDG)
  • Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)

Why should my professional membership matter to you?

It can be hard finding someone you can trust to help you with one of the most important things: your health. Being 'HCPC registered' is so important as it demonstrates that I have a statutory regulation and means that as your health care professional, you can be assured that:

  • I demonstrate that I have and continue to meet the standards of proficiency in my profession of dietetics.
  • I meet national standards for my training, professional skills, behaviour and health.
  • As a health and care professional, I am genuine.
  • My title 'dietitian' is legally protected
  • I am working as a professional in a regulated body, which differentiates me form non-regulated professionals.
  • I meet national standards for my training, professional skills, behaviour and health.

I would encourage you to check my registration online at www.checktheregister.org - all you need to do is chose 'dietitian' as the profession and then type my SURNAME (Bryant) and then press 'search' or you can download the free Check the Regiter app.

If you would like to discuss any dietary issues then please don’t hesitate to do so

My Services

I offer dietetic advice for both adults and children, and have almost 10 years of experience of working in a hospital. It can be really difficult working out who is best to see when you or your child is unwell and diet is the cause or needs to be changed in some way. It’s therefore very important that you see the right person to help you in the best way possible, so here is a list of areas that have expertise in so you can see if I would be right for you:

  • Allergies
  • Paediatric feeding difficulties
  • Coeliac disease
  • Diabetes
  • Weight management
  • Eating disorders (self funders only)
  • Gastrointestinal issues e.g. IBS – FODMAP exclusion diets, diverticular disease, constipation, malabsorption
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Diets associated with cardiovascular disease

If you feel any of the above apply to you then please do contact me, even to simply to discuss if seeing me is the right thing for you at this time. Of course, if you have been referred directly by your consultant or GP, please do have your relevant medical details to hand.

Fees and Medical Insurance:

I am happy to see both self funded and medically insured patients. However, for eating disorder patients I am only able to see them if self-funded. Please also note I no longer see AXA-PPP patients.

I am registered with most of the main insurers. Just to help things run as smoothly as possible for you, I require an authorisation code prior to any assessments which your insurance company will issue you. If you are going via insurance, its best to contact them first to check your policy covers dietetic assessments.

Testimonials from patients and colleagues:

Claire has helped me to change the way I look at food, and taught me to trust my body and regain control of my life. Since our first appointment, she has been a constant support both in and between sessions and a central part of my recovery. Claire is patient and understanding, always listening and reassuring the anxieties of both me and my parents. She has worked with me to reach a healthy place, explaining the science and rationale behind her advice. I am very grateful for the continuous guidance, practical and emotional support Claire offers.
— Patient A, Age 21
Claire has an excellent ability to connect with patients and to understand their fears and worries. Patients like her and she keeps them focused on their goals and the obstacles to achieving them
— Dr Veale, Consultant Psychiatrist, The Priory Hospital and Visiting Professor of Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapy , King’s College London.
Very practical and helpful advice. Readily available for follow up queries and also has very informative leaflets which are great as a reference so you don’t forget key information after appointments. Would recommend Claire to anyone needing dietary advice in a flash. Great patient manner and baby rapport.”
— Mother of baby under 12 months
Working with Claire has had an enormous impact on our son’s entire wellbeing. Claire provided the care and information we needed to identify and understand his special requirements, allowing us to plan an approach to tackle his dietary needs. The support we received as a family was superb. Claire has given us the key information we so desperately lacked and by recommending supplements and alternatives has allowed our son to thrive and continue to develop healthily on a restricted diet. Since tackling his food intolerances, our baby boy is so much happier. The difference has been outstanding. Now that we have all adjusted to his dietary requirement, every aspect of his development has benefited. He’s happier, healthier and altogether a more contented little boy. We simply couldn’t have done it without Claire.
